Storytime
http://www.storycorps.net/listen
Here is a great story site for any of you storytellers. Many of the stories are like memoirs or remininscences.
I am not sure how we could use this, but it could be a great tool to actually help a learner submit a story.
Cheers Deb

READ Saskatoon is an incredible organization. Check out some of their tutor resources, especially their lesson plans. I think these could be very helpful.

Fabulous Math
http://library.nald.ca/learning/browse/author?name=Kate+Nonesuch
This is the link for Kate Nonesuch's really excellent book on teaching math.
It is huge, so you probably don't want to make a copy of the whole thing.
But download the PDF copy and then you can go through it at your leisure.
Create a Graph

Here is a good website about how to make all kinds of graphs.
Try it out.
